        The IMD is a multidisciplinary unit with representation
from two colleges and seven academic departments.  About 115
graduate students and postdoctoral fellows benefit from the training and
mentoring provided by the more than two dozen UH faculty
members who are members of the IMD.  The following University of
Houston academic departments have faculty representation in the IMD:

    Biology and Biochemistry
    Chemistry
    Chemical Engineering
    Computer Science
    Mathematics
    Pharmacological and Pharmaceutical Sciences
    Physics
 

                   Many IMD faculty members and their trainees are affiliated with
        The W.M. Keck Center for Computational Biology, which includes
        three institutions:  Rice University, the University of Houston, and
        Baylor College of Medicine.
