A. Setup for Soap preparation.

Use 100 mL beaker for reaction and 400 mL beaker for water bath.

Use water bath as a source of hot water.

After 30 min, simply pour reaction mixture from small beaker into bigger beaker which was used as water bath.

Filter your soap from bigger beaker back to smaller beaker.

Soap is forming an upper layer in bigger beaker, so you will be able to collect most of the soap from the first 100 mL of mixture

Wipe your glassware with paper towel. Discard paper towel in trash.

Using cold tap water will NOT help to remove lard from a beaker!
